Do you link to Explora for Middle & High Schools, MasterFILE Complete, or any other BadgerLink resource on your website or in another application? As of September 30th, 2019, all BadgerLink authenticated URLs changed. Our vendor is currently providing a redirect but that will no longer be in effect as of December 1, 2020.
Any library or school that places these authenticated URLs on a website, within a proxy, or in another SSO application such as OpenAthens, will need to edit the URLs no later than December 1, 2020 in order to continue providing users access outside of the BadgerLink website. Find current URLs on the BadgerLink Resource URLs Google sheet.
The updated URL structure for linking to BadgerLink’s authenticated URLs (e.g. Academic Search Premier) is formatted as: https://www.wiscat.net/ext/validateglobal.php?cid=stwi&lid=stwi&dataid=71
As of December 1, 2020, there will no longer be a redirect when using the outdated authenticated URL structure for BadgerLink Resources: https://www.wiscat.net/homepages/CustomerWide/ValidateGlobalIP.asp?cuid=stwi&lid=stwi&dataid=71&term=
