Tuesday, May 11, 2021

With the same focus on enriching everyone's connection to children's and young adult books, Book Connections is the public library interface of TeachingBooks that speaks to public librarians and patrons.

Just like TeachingBooks, this resource empowers all readers to:

  • Connect deeply with a book they are reading

  • Gain new insights and understanding from award-winning authors

  • Reinforce cultural authenticity and perspectives with diverse books

  • Cultivate a life-long love of reading

  • Find author interviews, library programming ideas & interactive activities, discussion guides, and more to support literacy in your library

To learn more about Book Connections, check out a recorded webinar at https://badgerlink.dpi.wi.gov/training/book-connections.

The webinar shares tips and tricks for:

  • A reader searching for content such readers advisory, homework help, and homeschool support

  • A public librarian searching for content such as library programming, book promotion, and summer reading

  • Sharing content with patrons and colleagues
