Summer is the perfect time to spark a love for reading! TeachingBooks provides Summer Reading Lists that encourage creativity and discovery to engage readers.

Britannica

This year, to round out Wisconsin students’ reading lists, Britannica Education has compiled recommendations from five librarians across the country and curated a digital packet of activities to celebrate some “Sun-sational” themed summer reading. 

Download and share a Britannica page of printables at your libraries and schools in preparation of summer reading. This digital packet includes:    

  • Book list of reading recommendations for pre-K to middle school, with connections to BadgerLink resources, Britannica School and Britannica Library 
  • 3 coloring activity sheets:
    • Bookmark
    • Bingo card
    • Word search
  • 3 Teach Britannica Graphic Organizers, hand-picked by Britannica’s product team, and tips for using them
  • 2 images that can be posted to social media
  • Certificate of completion
