EBSCO Resource Changes & Updates

Summary

EBSCO Español is no longer available. Business Source Premier, Poetry & Short Story Reference Source, and Publication Finder interfaces have received updates.

EBSCO Español

EBSCO previously offered a dedicated Spanish-language interface that was referred to through BadgerLink as EBSCO Español (or for those using direct EBSCO links, this is the ehostes profile). However, with the new user interface, this option is no longer available. Libraries should remove any link to EBSCO Español and consider sharing instructions for Translating the Interface Language in the New EBSCO Interfaces. We apologize for any inconvenience.

In their commitment to enhancing the user experience, EBSCO continues to update their user interfaces. Many of these changes should be familiar as they are similar to other updates put into place the past few years.

Business Source Premier

Business Source Premier was recently updated to the new user interface, and now highlights leading publications for Business, Accounting & Finance, Management, Marketing & Sales, and MIS & POM; as well as quick access to featured content like Company Profiles and Industry Reports.

Poetry & Short Story Reference Source

Poetry & Short Story Reference Source is also on the new user interface. Topical areas guide users and related content is grouped together for a more natural browsing experience.

Publication Finder

While many libraries are likely already seeing this new version, the Publication Finder will be updated for all libraries by August 5, 2025. Publication Finder is accessible through most EBSCO resources within the navigation menu under Research Tools.

The finder allows users to search for publication titles (magazines, journals, etc.) to see if the full text is offered within any of the EBSCO resources available to your library through BadgerLink or locally licensed. Use the Searching the New Publication Finder Interface help document for step-by-step instructions.

Note: To search for publications only within the specific resource currently being used, instead select the Publications Authority option under Research Tools, or use the Publications tab within Advanced Search. View the Browse and Search for Publications video for step-by-step instructions.

Future EBSCO interface or resource changes will be shared through Bulletin. Please reach out with any questions!

BadgerLink is made possible through a combination of both state funds appropriated through the biennial budget, and Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA) Grants to States funding from the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS).
