EBSCO is introducing navigation improvements on July 7, 2026, that will change how certain features are organized within the EBSCOhost interfaces, Explora, and NoveList. These updates are designed to better align with how library users search, discover, and engage with content, while also creating a more flexible foundation for future enhancements.
Changes include:
- The left-hand navigation panel will move to the top of the page and menu items will be regrouped.
- The number of CustomLinks available to display under the “Additional links” menu will increase from four to 10.
- Dashboard tools such as Projects, Saved items, Recent Activity, and related features will move to the MyEBSCO menu.
- Library administrators can set the filter panel to be open by default, or closed with quick filters exposed.
- Pagination added to results page to replace “Show more results” button.
For a deep dive on these navigation updates, please check out the EBSCO Connect article with screenshots and a May 13, 2026, webinar recording, "Navigation Changes: A Preview."
