BadgerLink resources are selected through a competitive bid process: a Request for Bid (RFB) or Request for Proposal (RFP); or in some instances through sole source procurement. The process is governed by Department of Administration guidelines and based on the BadgerLink Collection Development Policy and Procurement Collection areas. Each Collection area is awarded and contracted to a single vendor.
The current Procurement Collections cover resources contracted either through June 30, 2024 or, in the case of the recent Newspaper RFP, through June 30, 2025.
Based on an evaluation of community needs, existing usage data, and the overall BadgerLink budget, the Collection areas with contracts ending in 2024 have been updated to the following. DPI intends to include these Collection areas in an upcoming procurement.

Magazines, Journals, and other Reference Materials for the K-12 Community
