Summary
BadgerLink resources include EBSCO’s NoveList and NoveList K-8 through a subscription to a statewide license. Both resources have a new look and features based on feedback from librarians. Read on for more details from EBSCO’s NoveList team on what you will find and some ways to more easily share these resources with your library patrons.
Fresh, Updated Content
EBSCO heard from many library staff around the country that wanted to see new titles and fresh content in NoveList, and they listened! You can always find something new when you come to NoveList. Here are two that you will notice are right on the home page: Books with Buzz and Curated Lists.
Books with Buzz is an ever-changing list of books that you’ve heard about in the media, whether that’s on NPR, Reese’s Book Club, or The Today Show. Popular books often have long hold lines, but NoveList can offer readers read-alike titles while they are waiting for their holds to come in.
Curated Lists are the reading lists compiled by our team of readers' advisory experts. Whether you’re looking for a good list of paranormal romances, titles for a Disability Pride Month display, or books for fans of Stranger Things, you’ll be able to find a list of recommendations that you know you can trust. EBSCO’s NoveList team is always creating new lists, so make sure you check back often!
Infinite Reading Inspiration
NoveList’s Explore Titles by Story Element tool allows you to mix and match tags to find the perfect mix for you or your patrons. You'll see a random assortment of story elements, but if you don’t see any you like, you can swap the terms for a different mix of infinite reading inspiration.
Create an Alert for New Titles
It can be hard to keep track of every new book coming out. In the new NoveList experience, you can now create alerts for when titles are added to lists, when your favorite author has a new title released, or when the latest in your favorite series comes out! The alerts will come straight to your email inbox once you create a MyEBSCO account.
Mobile Friendly
Everything is on our phones now, isn’t it? Now that NoveList has a new mobile-friendly version, it is! The New NoveList interface includes a responsive design that looks great on any screen or device, including your phone or tablet.
Accessible
NoveList is for everyone, and EBSCO has been working in collaboration with their accessibility team to ensure that the new NoveList experience meets WCAG 2.2 accessibility standards. After launch, EBSCO will be having a third-party audit and VPAT completed, as well.

View this EBSCO training recording on new features and functionality. You could also sign up for EBSCO's live training session on Thursday, August 21, 2025 at 1 PM Central. Please note that often times EBSCO refers to NoveList Plus in their recordings and live trainings. While the new interface and features still apply, NoveList Plus content (book titles) shown may not match what is available in BadgerLink's subscription to NoveList and NoveList K-8.
Once you feel comfortable with the new interface, download and share these free promotional materials from EBSCO with your readers. You can also request the Get Caught Reading poster from the BadgerLink website to be shipped to you free of charge.
