Back to School Checklist

Summary

BadgerLink's Back to School Checklist helps you get back to sharing BadgerLink resources in the new school year!

Welcome back to a new school year! BadgerLink is Wisconsin's Online Library, providing students and educators with trusted content from licensed resources, made possible through state and federal funds. Use this handy checklist to return to easily sharing BadgerLink resources with students and educators this school year.

Access resources from the library and school network

The BadgerLink authentication system was refreshed over the summer, so it's important to double check automatic access. While at your library or school, try any resource link for a BadgerLink resource, like Britannica School

If you are prompted to log in, reach out and share your IP addresses with us.

If you are directed to the resource home page, you are good to go!

Add direct links to resources to your website

Check out the Google sheet of all the BadgerLink resources to add direct links to your own district materials to get students to resources with fewer clicks!

Reach out for assistance on adding resources to your own learning technology like ClassLink or Clever SSO.

Bookmark your favorite resource guides

Head to the For Library Staff page and check out the BadgerLink resource guides on various topics and grade levels.

Check out the scavenger hunts

Also on the For Library Staff page under For the Classroom, there are scavenger hunts that can be used in the classroom for introducing students to BadgerLink resources like Britannica School and Explora.

Request posters and bookmarks

Share promotional materials with your students and educators throughout the year at badgerlink.dpi.wi.gov/get-word-out/request-bookmarks-and-posters.

Schedule new or review asynchronous training

Request personalized training on BadgerLink resources and/or peruse asynchronous options on the BadgerLink training page.

BadgerLink is made possible through a combination of both state funds appropriated through the biennial budget, and Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA) Grants to States funding from the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS).
