2025 BadgerLink Story from the Academic Library Community

Date

Here’s what Wisconsin's academic educators and librarians say about BadgerLink resources:

Because of BadgerLink, students at our rural technical college can access thousands of quality sources through databases we otherwise couldn't afford. There are resources essential and supportive for every student, from automotive to nursing.

My students use Academic Search Premier every semester to conduct research in the discipline of Communication. This database is one of the few available to our students that comprehensively indexes scholarship in the social sciences.

As a librarian I use the BadgerLink resources on a daily basis to assist students with their research for assignments as well as research for locating job possibilities, finding local resources to support them in their daily lives, resources to answer their health questions, genealogical research, resources to assist them in starting business endeavors, and recreational information. These are just a few of the ways I assist people daily.

DPI has assisted me with my questions regarding BadgerLink and by providing educational opportunities to learn more about the resources provided by BadgerLink.

BadgerLink provides our technical college students access to databases that we'd otherwise struggle to afford. Whether it's support for their classes or personal enrichment, BadgerLink is an invaluable resource.

- Northwood Technical College educator

As an academic library, we are limited in how we can support our local community, beyond the faculty, staff, and students who attend the institution. BadgerLink allows us to serve any resident, who enters our doors or reaches out to us remotely, and has helped us to foster positive collaborations in our community. The positive impact has been incredible in creating a welcoming, inclusive academic library space where everyone feels like they belong.
