New features in NoveList and NoveList K-8

Tuesday, April 29, 2014

NoveList and NoveList K-8 offer some exciting new features. Enhancements include an updated, modern design and all-new autocomplete search functionality.

More visually appealing

The New Look

All of the NoveList databases will be getting a new look that is modern and clean. The layout and usability will be very familiar to most users, but also more visually appealing. NoveList removed a lot of the clutter on the page, while keeping most of the content in place. See a preview of the new look.

Easier access to popular content

New Menu Bar

NoveList retooled the menu bar at the top of every page to make it easier for users to jump to different locations within the interface. There is a new section called Professional Toolbox especially for librarians looking for readers’ advisory help. There is also a new section called Spotlight On… that highlights new or special content.

AutoComplete is faster and more accurate

Improved Autocomplete

Searching NoveList is significantly improved with new autocomplete technology. Now users can start typing part of a title or author name and suggested matches are instantly suggested -- regardless of where the word appears in the results. Searching is faster and more accurate with this improved feature.
