When you quote someone, you are using their words exactly.
It's a little more obvious here that you need to cite your source because you are copying someone else's work.
Here's an example of quoting:
Source: Lendino, Jamie. 2014. "Why Music Should Not Be Free." PC Magazine 29. MAS Ultra - School Edition, EBSCOhost (accessed February 20, 2015).
According to Jamie Lendino, "Just because people decided not to pay for music doesn't mean it lacks inherent value" (2014).
